Wes Loper was a senior in high school when he decided to pursue art as a career. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1971 from the University of Oklahoma and attained his Master of Fine Arts degree two years later from Claremont Graduate School in Claremont California. As early as 1970 Wes Loper’s art was displayed in professional shows and exhibitions, and his involvement in such presentations continues to this day. His works have been prominently featured in over forty shows and exhibitions, including several one and two person shows. He now resides in his home in Chandler Oklahoma.

Wes has exhibited many facets of his creative talent. Some works include digital imagery that capture the motion of dancers, skaters, and Olympic athletes and other works show a more traditional influence but always relying on his basic talent for drawing and painting. In recent watercolor paintings Wes has turned his attention to landscapes, barns, and rustic buildings he has encountered on his travels. Some of his paintings are inspired by an abstract idea or simply the beauty of a memorable vacation spot. Or sometimes he is taken by subjects as close as Oklahoma route 66 or the view out his backdoor in Chandler. To Wes beauty is where you find it. Always a favorite medium he now works almost exclusively in watercolor on paper painting in a realistic though somewhat impressionistic style. In these works Wes draws his inspiration from the beauty of what he sees in his surroundings. His favorite subjects are rustic barns.

His original paintings are owned by a number of private collectors.

Artist JUDY Loper

Judy Loper demonstrated a strong aptitude for art at an early age. She credits the encouragement of her junior high school art teacher as the stimulus for her lifelong interest in art and art education. Judy received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1969. She then moved to southern California where she began her career as an educator and her vocation as an artist, participating in several professional shows. Moving back to Oklahoma she received A Master of Education degree from Oklahoma’s Central State University in 1981 for Junior College and Community College Art Education”.

While her art has taken many twist and turns over the last 25 years she has always returned to painting. Watercolor is her passion but she enjoys acrylic painting also. Judy’s favorite subjects are flowers and butterflies but she still does enjoy landscape painting, still lives and some figurative work. Judy says “the style is dictated by the response I would like from the person viewing the work to have. I love art that is beautiful and yet keeps a sense of mystery for the viewer. I want my art to be enjoyed day after day.”

While teaching art class Judy has had a renewed interests in drawing. Judy has work you can view and buy on fine art America www.Judy-Loper.artiatwebsites.com

Gallery Wrapped Watercolors

I am excited to add Gallery Wrapped Watercolors to my Gallery. We use only premium materials to produce superior quality ready to hang (no frame needed) works that are also UV protected, and sealed. This process is started by stretching 140 pound watercolor paper over stretcher bars to create a gallery wrapped Watercolor.

Then we paint in traditional aquarelle techniques. The only exception being that we also paint the sides and the top and the bottom. Completed paintings are sprayed with UV protection, and then sealed with acrylic varnish.
